Diversion 6.1.1, released on August 30 2026
Fixed two separate secondary-DNS issues, thanks to ExtremeFiretop for the pull request and testing with affected users:
- Guest network DNS failure: Secondary DNS traffic was being DNATed to Diversion's high ports before INPUT filtering, so guest rules allowing only port 53 no longer matched. Added dedicated INPUT/filter handling for DNAT-translated secondary DNS traffic, with support for both legacy and newer 3006/SDN firewall layouts.
- Boot-time secondary DNS race: On some routers, dnsmasq could restart again after Diversion had already declared startup successful, leaving the secondary resolver and NAT mappings stopped with no later recovery event. Added a debounced postconf recovery worker that waits for dnsmasq activity to settle, then re-runs ensure, using generation tracking to handle overlapping restarts safely.
Diversion 6.1, released on August 23 2026
- Improved and renamed action_handoff_consumed variable to actionHandoff to handle two consecutive writes to config file while still preventing endless install loops.
- Added option in b to update the blocking file daily, with selection on what day to run scheduled stats or backup jobs if daily is selected in SSH and WebUI.
- Removes the need of a second blocking file cron job instance, this is now handled by a date/time comparison in file update-bl.div.
- The WebUI now uses transparent Logo images to better match the ROG or Reaper themes.
- Please update amtm to v7.0 before updating Diversion.
This website is currently under redevelopment, it will take some more time to finish the redesign.
